Compared to the standard CHARMING series featuring the same models, special attention has been given to the details of the fittings, and the hulls have been painted to mimic reality, making these unique models coveted collector's items for wooden boat model enthusiasts.
These boats are manufactured in a Chinese factory led by a passionate enthusiast of ships and boat models. Great care is taken in selecting high-quality materials and in meticulous craftsmanship down to the smallest detail.
Crafted from the highest quality wood, these boats exude impressive realism, creating a perfect harmony between art and craftsmanship. The rich tones of the woods used add a warm dimension to these scale replicas, echoing the maritime heritage they represent.
Starting from 2020, the Charming Museum series will no longer be produced due to rising production costs (a revival of production would triple the displayed price). The limited quantities currently in stock present your last opportunities to acquire exhibition-grade models of this quality.
Shipping these models via palletized carrier is necessary to ensure their arrival in perfect condition. We encourage you to contact us in advance by phone to inquire about additional shipping costs, in addition to the displayed price, depending on your location.
In 1662, Louis XIV established the Corps des galères, or Galley Corps. At its peak, between 1690 and 1700, the Galley Corps consisted of forty galleys, twelve thousand rowers, three thousand officers and sailors, and four thousand soldiers.
This royal fleet comprised vessels that could navigate both by sail and oar. At its helm was the Réale de France, an "extraordinary" galley commanded by the general of the galleys.
