Spitfire Mk.IXc FlightLine RC 1600mm: A 1/7 Scale Model

In response to numerous customer requests, FlightLine RC decided to upscale its popular 1200mm Spitfire to create an improved version with a wingspan of 1600mm, corresponding to a 1/7 scale. This model stands out for its detailed scale-like design, expected in this size category, and its meticulous craftsmanship.

Superior Design and Build

The Spitfire is crafted from EPO foam, offering accurate scale shapes and a smooth surface. The main wing combines hollow foam sections with a plywood and carbon fiber frame, ensuring enhanced durability and reduced weight compared to a solid foam wing. Both the wing and stabilizer are detachable and secured with screws, making the model easy to transport.

To improve durability and performance, the fuselage integrates an airflow system for effective ventilation and cooling of electronic components. The battery is accessible via a removable cockpit, and a detachable plywood plate provides convenient access to the receiver and a designated space for an optional flight stabilizer gyro, positioned near the center of gravity (CG).

Impressive Performance

The Spitfire Mk.IXc is equipped with a 5055-390KV brushless Out-Runner motor, an 80A ESC, and a quad-blade propeller. Paired with a recommended 6S 4000-5000mAh LiPo battery, it achieves a top speed of 125 km/h, delivering high vertical power and a flight time of 6 to 10 minutes depending on throttle management.

Its landing gear, featuring suspension struts and 85mm wheels mounted on 5mm axles, along with a 45mm tail wheel, ensures smooth takeoffs and landings, even on grass runways.

Flight Characteristics and Accessibility

Optimized for exceptional performance, this Spitfire is perfectly suited for intermediate and experienced pilots. Its flight behavior is predictable, especially during stalls, and its available power allows for easy recovery in any flight configuration.

The model also features "Day-Bright" LED lights, ensuring excellent visibility in all conditions.

Fully painted, the Spitfire Mk.IXc FlightLine RC 1600mm combines aesthetics, performance, and practicality for an unparalleled flying experience.
