The P-47D Thunderbolt is one of those aircraft that has stood the test of time. While it has been modeled many times, BlackHorse made the choice to design a larger version for 30cc gasoline engines, focusing on realism and presence in flight.

The authentic Thunderbolt was an incredibly rugged machine that often returned from combat missions with significant parts missing, and sometimes even engine cylinders! While the Black Horse version may not reach those extremes, it is undoubtedly sturdy!

Black Horse's model designs prioritize strength where necessary and weight savings where it's not essential. From the Computer-Aided Design (CAD) phase, the goal is to achieve the right balance between toughness and low wing loading.

Low wing loading means no unpleasant surprises at low speeds and less wear on the landing gear.

The provided landing gear is the latest generation of Black Horse electric retracts with robust oleo legs. This landing gear system has been refined and improved throughout Black Horse's production process to result in this entirely new generation.

The CNC-cut balsa and plywood parts have been assembled in the factory using a template to ensure perfect alignment during your assembly.

All wooden parts are covered with durable Oracover film and complemented with authentic decals, creating a striking and practical color scheme.
The 30cc Thunderbolt is an excellent choice for modelers who appreciate realistic and practical scale models, and who simply don't want to spend a year building one.
