Pietenpol Air Camper Replica J3 40-60cc ARF radio-controlled thermal aircraft

The Pietenpol Air Camper was a simple parasol-wing airplane sold in kit form to make aviation accessible.

The first prototype saw the light of day in 1928, then in 1929 the Ford Model A engine was adopted as the standard powerplant, and kit production began.

In the 1960s, the Chevrolet Corvair 6-cylinder flat engine replaced the Ford engine, being more powerful, more flexible and, above all, lighter than the Model A.

The last Air Campers were built in Europe in 2012 and are still flying today.
