KH50006 - HH-60 Pave Hawk plastic model with figures 1/35
The HH-60 Pave Hawk is a combat search and rescue helicopter developed by Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for the United States Air Force (USAF). Entering service in 1982, 112 units have been built. This model is a variant of the famous UH-60 Blackhawk, itself derived from the Sikorsky S-70. The HH-60G Pave Hawk is unique in being the first version of this range to be refuelable in flight, though slightly smaller than the UH-60.
Its main mission is to infiltrate hostile environments, day and night, to rescue personnel in combat zones. In January 2009, the USAF had 101 aircraft in service, a number reduced to 97 in January 2018 following the loss of one aircraft in Iraq on March 15 of that year.
