The La Real was built in Barcelona at the Royal Shipyard and served as the flagship of Don Juan of Austria during the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. This was the largest galley battle in history, where the Christian fleet of the "Holy League" defeated the Ottoman fleet under the command of Admiral Ali Pasha.
In 1971, a replica of La Real was constructed and is now displayed at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona.
The kit includes all laser-cut wooden parts, with frame pieces pre-cut to match the angle of the hull. It also features wooden and metal fittings, along with detailed plans and a step-by-step assembly guide with full-color photos to make the construction process easier. Material for the sails is also included.
Scale 1:72, length 685mm.
