Fieseler Storch 156cc 35cc arf radio -controlled thermal airplane

The Fieseler Fi 156 is a German military reconnaissance aircraft from World War II, manufactured by the Fieseler Company and designed in 1935.

It is nicknamed "Storch" (stork in German) due to its high-legged landing gear.

Equivalent to the American Piper L-4 Grasshopper or Stinson L-5 Sentinel, it excelled in its missions of observation, transporting personnel or equipment, and medical evacuation. From 1935 to 1945, the Luftwaffe used approximately 2,900 Fieseler Fi 156s on all fronts throughout the war.

The Fieseler Storch focuses entirely on low-speed flight and short takeoff and landing (STOL) performance.

This is made possible by its complex high lift wing, equipped with both slats and flaps. The BlackHorse version has fixed slats and real 'Fowler flaps. The flaps and ailerons even have details like simulated mass balances, just like the real one. When deployed, the low-speed performance is simply astounding! Not only is it slow, but it's also predictable and easy to control.

The scale-like struts have a neat appearance while being fully structural.
The fuselage features a realistic canopy and cockpit. To achieve this, Black Horse has employed a complex metal rod internal structure, carefully brazed together. The result is a remarkable strength that seamlessly integrates into the overall design of the model.

Then there's the landing gear. It provides an authentic and functional representation of one of the key design features of a Storch. It is both complex and straightforward, equipped with working oleos.

All you need is a 28-33cc petrol engine for it to gracefully take to the skies. That's when the stunning scale color scheme becomes so apparent. The performance is serene (as one would expect), but the thrill of STOL performance is truly captivating.
