F8F-1 BEARCAT 1200mm PNP radio-controlled electric plane
Freewing F8F-1 Bearcat 1200mm PNP – Description
The F8F "Bearcat" was the last piston-engine fighter developed by Grumman to take to the skies.
First flown in August 1944, it was powered by a massive Double Wasp engine, giving it superior performance compared to many other aircraft of its era.
With over 1,200 Bearcats produced, this aircraft was operated worldwide and saw action in conflicts from Korea to Vietnam.
The F8F also served from 1946 to 1948 with the Blue Angels, the U.S. Navy's flight demonstration squadron, setting the foundation for generations of excellence in precision aerobatics.
In 2016, FlightLine RC commemorated the 70th anniversary of the Blue Angels by introducing this electric RC warbird model, aiming to inspire new generations to appreciate the legacy of the F8F Bearcat. This is the only officially licensed Bearcat RC model by Northrop Grumman.
Designed for Easy Transport and Superior Performance
The F8F-1 Bearcat RC is built for both realism and practicality:
Detachable 1200mm wingspan: Ensures easy transport while maintaining strong flight stability, reinforced with carbon spars.
Magnetic access hatch: Provides a spacious battery compartment and allows the installation of a flight stabilization gyro (sold separately).
Optimized cooling airflow: Air is channeled above the battery and ESC compartment, enhancing heat dissipation.
Large functional flaps: Improve stability for smooth, slow landings.
Powerful Motorization and Optimized Flight Time
Equipped with a 3748-580KV brushless motor and a 4-blade propeller, the F8F-1 Bearcat RC plane delivers impressive power, supporting aerobatic maneuvers and reaching speeds of 120 km/h with a 4S battery.
Flight time:
6 to 7 minutes with a 4S 2500mAh battery
Up to 8 minutes with throttle management using a 4S 4000mAh battery
