The model represents a Greek trireme from the time of the Battle of Salamis (480 BC). According to Athens documents, 27 rowers (Thalamites) were on each side of the lower row, 27 rowers (zygites) in the second row and 31 rowers (Thranites) in the third row. Like the previous types, the trireth had large trains on the stern. In addition to the 170 rowers, recruited from the poorest strata of the free population, 30 other people were on the ship. The archers, sailors, flutists were sagged who gave the rowers with flutes and on -board staff. Each ship was ordered by a nauarchos or trierachos. The ship was ordered on the stern by the headquarters (Kybernetes). When the conditions were good, the trireme could sail at a speed of up to 12 kilometers an hour. The main weapon of the trireme was a bronze rostrum mounted on the bow which spurred the sides of enemy ships. The ship was mainly shifted using oars, the sails were used only during long navigations. During the battles, the sails and the mast leaned towards the stern and only the trains were used. The box of the model contains all the wooden parts cut in the laser, the wooden, metal and plastic filing (depending on model), the fabrics for the sails, the plans and the construction instructions.
